Locally Built, Community Driven.

Digital projects in Nakivale are at the core of CAMPUS Digital Hub’s mission. We don’t stop at teaching. We turn skills into action by building digital tools and services that directly respond to the challenges faced by our community. These projects are created by our learners and team members, using what they’ve learned to make a real difference in the lives of others. Everything we build is rooted in local knowledge, lived experience, and a strong desire to create change from the inside out.

ConnectRefugee App

ConnectRefugee is a mobile communication platform designed to keep 200,000 + residents of nakivale informed and connected. It sends out timely updates about food distribution, healthcare services, education programs, and opportunities, making sure no one is left behind simply because of a lack of information. It is built in Nakivale for Nakivale, and it reflects our belief that access to information should be simple, direct, and accessible to all.

How It Works

People sign up once, choose their language, and start receiving verified updates directly on their phones. Even without the internet, messages reach them through offline sync and local sharing.

Why It Matters

In Nakivale, most people still rely on word of mouth or posters. That often leads to confusion and missed chances. ConnectRefugee makes sure every message is trusted and reaches everyone.

Who It’s For

Refugees, host communities, and local organizations. Whether you’re looking for help, offering a program, or sharing news, this app connects you directly to your audience.

What’s Next

We’re testing the first version now with community leaders and partners like UNHCR. After feedback, we’ll launch the full version on Play Store for all residents.

Something new is coming.
