A Refugee Led Information Platform Built in Nakivale.
We transmit refugees with reliable and timely information via an easily accessible mobile app created specifically for settlement life. Every element of Nakivale was developed with feedback from over 150 community members, and it tackles everyday life concerns.

Receive quick updates as soon as services are introduced. Every notice contains the date, time, location, needs, and contact information. Know before you go.
Multilingual Access
Choose from English, French, Swahili, Arabic, or Kinyarwanda. Every message is delivered in the language you understand best.
Testing DAY
We invited community members in Nakivale to test ConnectRefugee and share honest feedback. The goal was to understand how people receive information, what works, and what needs to change before wider use.
Community members explored the platform, asked questions, and showed us how information moves in real life. Their feedback helped us improve clarity, accessibility, and trust in the system.

CAMPUS Digital Hub is a refugee led tech organization founded in Nakivale in 2024. We train people in our community in digital skills, and we build solutions to the problems we live with every day.
ConnectRefugee is one of those solutions. We created it after seeing people miss food distributions, medical appointments, and job opportunities, not because they did not care, but because the information never reached them in time.
So we built the tool we wished existed.

Uganda expansion
After launching in Nakivale, we'll expand to other refugee settlements across Uganda, including Kyangwali, Bidibidi, and Palabek. Each community will receive localized information in their languages.

Bringing ConnectRefugee to refugee settlements in Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, and South Sudan. Building partnerships with humanitarian organizations across the region.
Continental Scale
Expanding across Africa to serve refugee communities in Ethiopia, Somalia, Malawi, Zambia, Chad, Cameroon, and beyond. Information access is a fundamental right for every displaced person on the continent.
